A 1,590-seat theatre on several levels
The Palacio's main hall is a full-scale opera house: a ground-floor orchestra section topped by several rising tiers of balconies. That vertical layout matters for folklórico specifically, because so much of the spectacle is in the group formations — the way dozens of dancers move as patterns across the stage — which read especially well from a little height.
Every seat sees the Tiffany curtain
Whatever level you sit on, you'll see the theatre's most famous feature before the dancing even starts: the stained-glass stage curtain made by Tiffany Studios, a mosaic of the Valley of Mexico and its volcanoes lowered across the proscenium. It's lit before the performance and visible from the whole auditorium, so no tier misses it.
Orchestra versus balcony
Closer orchestra seats put you near the costume detail — the embroidery, the ribbon work, the footwork of the zapateado. Higher seats trade that intimacy for the full geometry of the choreography and a better view of the stage as a whole. Visitors regularly report excellent views even from the upper balcony, so a higher tier is not a compromised seat here.
